could be a re-handle, looking like the scales are off the tang just a little.

you should move it to the for sale thread smirk
LOL

Nothing "strange" about it.

Typical tenite handle that was epoxied on and has shrunk away.

Bo tried the material a second time with the same results as the first time.

Chrutchtip, please could you please explain me better?
It is a normal made knife?
How could be the value of this knife and the date of production ?
I always saw tenite with screws and exposed tang.

Vietnam era model with epoxied green tenite handles and non exposed tang. The tenite has shrunk (which is why Randall stopped using it) Johnson riveted sheath with large throat rivets. Possibly a split back? Can't see to tell. Yellow script stone dates 66-69 era. The example shown here is slightly older than the one that you have in your pics. Extremely rare and valuable knife!

You have a GOOD one there Andrea.

Tom V.

Everyone assumes that every Randall made or conceived was a roaring success. This is an example of an experiment that was tried and Bo Randall learned from the attempt.

It IS a split-back, Bill. The lower left corner of your last photo (above) shows it.
