I was disappointed in not being able to find a Model 3 for my collection at the Blade Show this year. On my way home, I had a stop in Salt Lake City. While in the departure lounge, I received the familiar ding of an arriving text: It was from a guy who had heard I collect only Model 3's. He collects only fighters and had bought a collection that contained a Model 3 Leschorn. He had attached pics and my heart skipped a couple of beats. We subsequently reached a mutually agreeable price after a short negotiation, and not long after it had a new home. Here are those pics by the seller:

Ron,

That one's got it all. Great find, or it found you.

I never saw that knife at Blade, Wally. There was a 12-6 Leschorn there that I saw, but no Model 3. I don't think we met, but I'll bet we were within eyesight of each other many times. Hopefully next year grin

Ron

What an excellent addition to your collection!!

Sometimes those flights that stop over are worth it, as opposed to the direct flights!!

Thanks, Rod. Those connecting flights may be worth it sometimes, but they sure don't seem like it when you are trying to make the wait go faster. I always try to take a good book. That really helps a lot.

Ron, you really must be living right to have something like that land square in your lap. Right in the middle of your wheelhouse and drop dead gorgeous. About as good as it gets if not better. ;-) Congrats sir!
