We all know just how difficult, if not impossible, it would be to chose just "one" Randall as our favorite. How about this? What would your "Top 3" be?
Forget which ones you own that are the most collectible or most expensive, let's see the top "3" you just, plain can't live without or would give your eye teeth to have! It could be interesting for discussion.
Photos always help and, many times when we do something like this, a topic like this pushes folks to learn how to post photos onto our forum. It's all good, right?
If you care to contribute try and explain why and how you have arrived at your choices. There will be a bonus at the end of this thread. However many people post, be it 10 or a hundred, you will all get a chance at one of my "TOP THREE" door prizes!!
I will hold a lottery, computer-generated numbers, to give away 3 prizes! Want to know what those prizes will be? So do I! I haven't thought that far ahead! I know one will be shown below.
Let's get started and thanks, in advance, for your contributions.
Stay sharp, Capt. Chris
Prize #1 (no order of importance or worth): Randall new Zombie Killer green steak knife!

GREAT Topic Capt.!!

I have to say I choose my #10-5" because we... mostly BECKY use it in our kitchen daily. I can also see where it would have very practical use outside the home as well in many facets of life, hunting , fishing, camping to name a few. It's just a great all around build. I will always have 1 handy and a couple on stand by going forward.

Second would be a full tang fighter. I love the balance and feel of them. Particularly in leather. The false edge sharpness is very cool as well. Be it a #1 #2 or #3 I always want to have 1 of these available.

Last would be the 1 I do not have yet, but after seeing it's usefulness I can not wait to get a hold of. A #3-5". Bo's favorite length to carry, and just an overall outstanding design. Looking forward to acquiring one. If I am fortunate enough to go hunting again, or even just as a carry knife I will enjoy using it. The one I was privileged enough to use on my first hunt though... was OUTSTANDING!!!!!

I will order a Model 13 "Arkansas Toothpick" to play the part of my Medieval dagger, as I am into replica (Albion) swords from that era too. I also like the "The Confederate Bowie" as the depth of the blade on "The Smithsonian Bowie" just puts me off. Then the Bear Bowie I do have is #3.

1) I use 19's all the time for more than what they were designed for.
It's heavy duty I can & do use the small 4.5 inch blade like a fireman's. Top edge less like to chip when you need to pry with the blade.

2) Waiting for a Stanaback & going to get custom sheaths for it to carry behind the back & on a 45 degree cross draw.
Only ever owned 1 & it was in ivory, didn't get to use it as it was the last knife I sold when getting funds together to adopt my Son.

3) 12-9 I know for most folks here it's to big but I like having a fighting knife available.
It is a big "light" knife for it's size for me.

My "Top 3" would consist of my 12-9 Sportsman's Bowie with the Model 14 blade profile and Model 25 handle. It is my "Outback" knife when I am at the ranch "Checking fences".

The next is a Model 26 that I have on order from the Captain. This one will be my "Day hiker/small game knife". I have ordered it with a brass hilt, buttcap and wrist thong hole. This is the Capt's pic.

The inspiration for the third knife came from one I saw here on the board that is owned by forum member "Cut it out". It is a Model 15 with a single brass rounded hilt, Border Patrol grip and thumb notches. This will be my main "Working" knife that I can use for hiking, camping, ranch running, etc. Mine was ordered from the Capt. with green micarta scales and a tan sheath. This pic belongs to "Cut it out".

Sorry I don't have pictures but my top 3 would be 2 that I have and 1 I wish I had.
Hard to pick just 3 but here we go.
First would be my Model 3-5 Forum Build with carbon steel blade, stag handle, wrist thong, compass and waxed no hone sheath. It looks good and just plain works!!
Second would be my Model 5-5, carbon blade and black micarta handle. I know it is plain jane but it is a heck of a work horse.
Third is the one I want but will never get it. Anyway it is Capt. Chris's Model 11-4 with the Super Amber Stag with the compass in the handle.

1) My ultimate "Grail" knife would be the Model 12-11" Smithsonian Bowie which Rhett Stidham once owned. It's a Sub-Hilt Smith with an Ivory handle! I don't even have a photograph of it, but it was shown in a crappy pic within the pages of an issue of the RKS newsletters.

(I have included a stag handled example for reference purposes).

Joe may know where it's hidden!

2) Next I would love to find a Model 1950's era 12-13" Raymond Thorpe Bowie with an Ivory handle, lugged hilt, scalloped flanged color and butt, and a Brassback blade.

(Image supplied is a similar "Ivorite" version with a coolie cap).

3) My final want would be my next Whale Tooth handled Randall with standard red, white and blue spacers. Plenty of them out there, but stashed away in safes so it seems!

( Internet pic provided)
