Quote: For what it's worth, an authorized dealer showed me an old model 2 that just had a portion of the little knife part of the stamp on it, the handle actually, and told me that GR told him (and now I'm telling you, making this about 3rd hand info), that back in the day, Bo Randall would send out a knife if there was any portion of a stamp on it recognizable as a Randall stamp.
J.P., The same dealer told me the same story ( if it is the Authorized Dealer closest to you). He also told me GTR would not let that happen today. Did you hear that part of the story?

I don't know how you can hear anything with that leather helmet covering your ears. ~dale
I read lips. No kidding. Years of shooting handguns w/o hearing protection took its' toll. When I met Big Jim, Perry and Rick Ward at the Spirit of Steel show I hope they did not think i was staring when they spoke.
This is my first post. This is a great thread since model 2's are a favorite. I have attached a picture of a model 2-7 I recently purchased. Engraver and scrimshander are unknown. The engraver's signed on the butt cap "AH". I believe the handle is ivorite. If anyone can help me identify either of the artists, I would appreciate it.

This is not a Model 2 but close. This is one of only three Applegate Stilettos made for Rex Applegate. Mr. Applegate returned them to the Randall shop.
