Do you gentlemen have a recipe for this pickling procedure?

I simply collect the juice from the (then empty) pickle glass and let the knife stand on it's tip up to the hilt for an hour or two.
The correct time depends very much on the amount of vinegar in the juice. Every make produces different results. You simply have to keep an eye on it
