Fall Stock Sale!!

RMK will be having a relatively "small" Stock Sale this Monday Oct. 9th starting at 7:00 am....I believe we will have to limit to one knife per household (phones or walk-ins)...

I know not, why nobody hath stepped up on this..."BUT"...Thanks to The Ramking and The Silvas, along with the Ol' Captain's photos, here's tad of the story:
Good turnout and a batch of "way-cool" RMKs were offered up! The RKCC tables were a hit and free bagels, doughnuts, soft drinks, Gatorade and H2O were a big hit as well! I signed up (& re-signed up) club members and displayed all previous (& current) RKCC "Club Knives"!
This is/was a day for "RMK" to sell stuff so my appearance was just to spread the RKCC word and experience the "fellowship". It's always good and fun to "catch-up" with folks I don't often see.
..At any rate, here's some quickies of the turn of events that was: The Fall Stock Sale @ RMK!

Looks like a good sale!

Yeah, It was a good one. Weather was Florida Cool. Inventory was great! had a few "Especiales" I was able to grab 1 for each hand!!!! Great seeing the Gang, as I've missed Blade the last few years!!!

Isabel and I had an awesome time. Seeing so many friends at the Randall Knives fall stock sale was so nice. We can’t wait to do it again next year God willing.

In the photo of the display case, I can see the sign on the shelf saying the model 28 is now available in maroon micarta. The Randall online catalog says that is not available in full tang knives. Wondering if the other restricted ivorite color micarta might now be available in this knife, (or other full tang knives) too?
I noticed the Capt. has said there is a new ivorite material in the shop.

The sign on the shelf does NOT say anything about #28's now available in any other color besides black or green.
The sign says those are the Shop Sale Specials...only available through the sale. 10 were made, 10 were sold.

I should have said "...model 28 was available..."

Is the restriction on 2 colors of micarta because the blanks don't normally come in the right size or slotted configuration?

Or is there something about the material itself that makes it not ideal on full tang handles?

I did not make the sale, missed out on the maroon Model 28!

Consider from the perspective that it is a heavier workload to offer more and more choices for customers to choose from. In this case, how many varieties of Micarta are available, and how many should be stocked pre-cut and slotted for any given slotted model knife? Maybe somebody wants red-and-blue, somebody else wants black-and-green, etc.

Also, that the shop tries to do some things "special" for the annual or semi-annual sales, while also not pushing back scheduled deliveries on knives customers have ordered.

Fall Stock Sales knives are ready for pick-up on Tuesday morning with the USPS/UPS shipments going out in the afternoon!

Another great shop sale. Weather was great. The turnout was smaller than the spring show.Had a great time meeting with friends.

Picked mine up early last week! #25-5 and a 26 with a #25 handle! Pic's coming later! It was great to see a lot of Good Folks!!!!!
