Guido is correct. $7,500 instead of $6,500.

Looks like a version of the JUMBO Versipack

See photos 3 and 7 of the individual features.

I was one of the lucky six RKCC meeting attendees to win the chance to buy one of the first Model #27 Minis sold to the public.

Cap and I have an idea for this one.... keep an eye on the forums.

This was my grand slam at Blade this year. As a Model #1 collector, this is one of the "Holy Grails". A BRASS BACK fighter!

I'm guessing this knife was made 1955-1957. It still has the horizontal keeper, but the flap is moving to the narrower design of the late 50's.

Randall introduced the Bowie in 1953....and offered brass back bowies in the 1954 catalog. This fighter was made just a few years later.

Needless to say, I'm pretty stoked.

Mitchell,
That is great. I never saw one before.
The bottom guard is a little longer than usual, yes?

The longer lower guard is a trait of 50's knives...... good eye Tony.

I've only seen pictures of a brassback Smithsonian. I never head of a brass back #1. Great find.
