I also prefer the 5" blade lenght... about your complain, a good operational solution would be using a kydex sheath, molded on the knife... I just noticed something that struck me as odd, so I hope sharing it here will help me determine if it's a common thing, or not. A picture is worth a thousand words. So, anyone else have any Crider sheathes that are marked "10-5", or "10-7"? _________________________ Wally
