Thanks for the info. Since Randall specifies a particular size for CW material, how do you know how big a piece to be left "natural" they will accept? I suppose you must submit it for approval. I wonder if you need to do a little "Pre-Shaping" such as tapering the hilt end to ensure a better chance of acceptance?

The shop will accept them fairly large and still leave as "natural" as possible Jim. Of course, where fit is required to match up to the Randall hardware (i.e. butt caps, hilts, spacers and the like) more material is sacrificed. Also: A large natural handle will wind up quite "clubby" on many models. Be careful what you order with what. Best, Capt. Chris
One more pair with old yellow micarta handles. The person I bought these from said they were ordered many years ago by a relative for a hunting trip. The trip was cancelled and the knives were never used.
