I am posting this knife in the Behring main forum as I am probably not the only one who has some questions for the Behring mob out in Montana. I "think" this is referred to as a Southwest (or Southwestern) Bowie. I am 100% positive that I am "not" 100% positive about this model. I know one thing: It was my "biggest" take-away from this year's Blade show! I stashed a lot of stuff in my poke this year. I hope to get around to posting up some of it in the future.
In the meantime, I hope this'll do.
* 9+ inch blade
* Slight upswept blade shape
* Perfect brass single hilt with just enough on "top".
* Can't tell ya' how many spacers!
* Double-pinned crown stag handle!
* Tan, riveted Mosher sheath.
* Knife weighs right at 1 lb. 10 ounces. I can't tell you how well this knife fits my big mitt! Someone snapped a photo of Junior and I, warding one another off with a pair of these biggies. Great knife, great maker and great fun aquiring it. Hope you folks enjoy lookin' at it nearly as much as I enjoy owning it. (probably not)
Best, Capt. Chris
PS: For comparison I have included a photo of this big blade with one of my favorite Randall Model #5-5" knives alongside...CCS
