Beautiful old Springfield.....the sheath does not look like a Southern Saddlery to me but I'm no expert. There were several sheaths that came with Springfield's if my memory is correct. You have some nice knives.
Springfield's had no exact set of spacers. They sort of just put them together sort of like......well just thrown together. I've owned 3 Springfield's and all 3 had a different spacer arrangement. You have a dang good looking Springfield. How did you find it. Was it in Italy? Thanks.
I like the Springfield's. Looking for another one now. I enjoy the hunt. Hope you stick around the forums. You can find out just about anything here. I don't know why I'm the only one to respond here. Sorry that I couldn't be more specific on the sheath. I have forgotten about everything I ever learned about these Randall's. The Southern Saddlery sheaths looked cheap to me and this sheath appears to be a better made product. The flap on the pocket looks like the flaps that a Mr. Moore made. Anyway hopefully someone will come on and explain it all. If not I will get my books out and see what I can dig up. Goodnight and welcome to the forum.
