I recently started doing home repairs - replacement of electrical
wiring, new flooring, new wallpaper and other.
I used in past ordinary knives - stationery-type knife, a shoe knife,
and, of course, Mora and Hultafors
This time I decided to use only Randall and I took my #8-4.
In the process, I realized that disregarded the advice of friends
on this forum, unfortunately. Brass butt cap too very shifts
balance to the backside of handle, when the knife small.
To buy new Randall with suitable configuration I have no way in
currently.
So I'm a little cut butt cap.
It turned out that inside there is a small cavity for fastening
technology and I got a fun hole ))
Balance has become more enjoyable.
Further, when I pasted wallpaper, and trimmed the excess
with a knife (my hands were stained glued, very slippery),
several times I dropped the knife with a 3 meter height.
Then I decided to add a notch finger on handle.
I made them inclined on both sides, so they were perfect
for my right and left hand (I work hands equally).
As a result, you can see what I got))
I think this is not the end, even though the balance is good,
but I want to shift it a little forward
+ my homemade work over the handle looks ugly
although very convenient.
I'm going in the future to send the knife to the master, which will
make a new handle, something like Ward Gay handle on #20
(I am sorry if misspelled name)

Now I think Mora knives and others will now be in the toolbox in the far corner of the garage, perhaps forever.
