I have spoken with at least 500 people "who were with SOG" over the last 50 years so I take most of that info with a grain of salt unless it came from a guy like Richard Meadows or Arthur Simon. Few actually do much talking (except for Plaster).

SOG was a long time ago and typically the only people selling SOG knives with blood on them are people looking to score some cash.
Since only 2000 ever served with SOG and were 300 KIA, I am interested in where you spoke with "
at least 500" (1/3 of the survivors) of them. I served 20+ years in SF most at Fort Bragg (1972-1996) and I never met that many, but I served with more than a few. Guess it is time for my BS flag to get thrown.
You missed my point, by my count 496 of the 500 were wannabees. Schottler, Zubeck, Kohl, and Baker were not.
Schottler and Zubeck were too young to serve in SOG, Kohl and Baker very likely at one point. They were all SF. (apparently like you). One of our previous members brother was in SOG but the member has left the forum. I did not count him.
So save your BS flag for someone else.
Crutchtip, Did the real deal knife come out of Tom's collection, he had a very nice SOG knife and patch collection.
