There's a Stanaback Special posted back in Sept 2011 in the "Knife of the week - Stanaback Special" thread, brass #1 double hilt and leather, that would look very similar.
Biggest difference being 3/16" vs. 1/4" blade material, of course.

I have an opportunity to obtain an "Oosick", a walrus penis bone for a reasonable price. Has anyone used this as a handle material on a Randall? If so, what was the result as in how did it turn out? Looks like it would be really good for scrimshaw.

Here's a nice bowie from Mike Mooney, who says, 'The "Southwest Bowie" is the biggest knife I've made, so far, with a 12" file-worked blade of Jim Fergusson damascus, blued nickel silver fittings and stabilized ancient oosic handle.' Such a handle material might look pretty nice on a Model 12.

Here's a phone photo of phase one of a work in progress I have in motion with the Captain. This handle was done by Gene Beal. There is at least 1 more big brother coming out soon!
Wish I had time to slow down to take quality pic's! Just running too fast!

Does the Oosic need to be treated before installing?
