Steve, that's a beauty! I like it more than any tenite I've seen, more expensive or not. Where's the sheath?!?
Thanks, Bill and Wally.
Sad story, Wally.
When I went on inactive duty after two Vietnam tours, I stored the knife in its sheath along with my uniforms. The crate was forgotten in my cellar, stored on the floor. We had continuous dampness and some mild flooding. The uniforms rotted, and the sheath got terribly moldy. I discarded the whole mess, keeping only the knife and some medals. (Thinking back now, maybe I should have kept the sheath, despite its terrible condition.) I had to clean the knife, of course, but was VERY glad it had that “S” signifying stainless steel!
Years ago, I had Greg make me the upper sheath with large copper rivets. Later, I was able to buy the lower sheath from Perry. However, I can’t remember whether my knife originally came with a small rivet sheath, and don't know if it is absolutely correct.
