Hello,
My name is Richard Freeman and I am new to this forum. I have learned so much from going thru many of the threads.
I am so thankful that Mr Randalls first knife is featured in this thread. I would love to see this knife in person. Is it on display somewhere? Maybe the Randall museum?
I understand that there are many Randall collectors that go to the blade show in Atlanta? I hope to make it.
Thank you for this group, and I look forward to seeing some great knives at Blade, if I can make it.
Is there a chance that Mr Randalls 1st knife will be there?

Thanks again, Richard

Richard:
Bo's 1st knife is owned by RKCC Charter Member, Arthur Green (New York Sate). Art will, not only have this piece of history on display at the RKCC display tables, he is actually bringing the knife to our annual meeting held in Room #103 at 8:00 AM on Saturday morning! Hope to see you there.
Stay sharp, Capt. Chris

Thank you Tattoo Bill and Capt Chris for your responses.
Sorry Capt Chris, I am a bit confused. This thread that you started was about Mr Randalls 1st knife that you posted wonderful pictures of. Does that knife now belong to Mr Green?
Someone had also asked if Mr Randalls 1st knife in this thread had been authenticated. Was this done at the Randall shop?
Sorry about all the questions. Hope I can make it to this show and your early meeting.
Thanks again.
Richard

Art Green owns Rhett's prized old Randall knife and research certainly points to Bo's first knife being re-done afterwards. Art has researched this knife a good bit and I have helped him some, visiting the museum, photgraphing some of the very first that are on display there.
It's an impressive knife and positively shows the Scagel influence. I believe Art Green has done a great job on his research. The bottom line is only Bo Randall can say for sure which knife was first, second, etc. My old timer was not re-worked and Art's "is" the one pictured at the top of this banner!
I encourage all to attend the Blade Show and I'll bring my "workin' man's" old Randall also.
See you there, Capt. Chris

Capt. Thanks for sharing this knife at blade last year.
It's fascinating to see the transition from the first knives to the Randall's of today.
Looking forward to seeing Arts presentation at the club meeting Saturday.
