Woods available from the shop include; Walnut Rosewood Maple Ironwood. The IW has come out very nice of late. "Crow's beak" butt with some handle shapes but not the ones you mentioned...sorry. Best, Capt. Chris PS: If you choose a shop-supplied wood and a crow's beak butt cap, you'll get #22 shaping on your wood at no extra charge...and it is close in overall shape and function to a BPH...CCS

Thanks Capt, Really appreiate it, also can you ask for the #22 handle to be on the large size, because of the size of the Thorpe? Also how about the cost of wood?
I am also specking a #14 is there any other micarta handles available other than Black and Green?
Thanks again, i realize you have better things to do, like riding that HD, How do you like it by the way?

Woods run: $40-$50, depending on "which one" IW is $50...Maple is $45...RW & WA run $40 each. Ordering a "Thorpe" will dictate a large chunk of wood be used. There is no need to request it.
Micartas: Black, Green, Maroon, Ivorite and Red & Blue, but I don't think that the shop has red/blue in large blocks, so I'd stick with one of the other choices. I think that's all of your questions answered...except my Harley "Fat Boy"? It's a blast! I have some new "tricks" installed that aren't in these photos. Thanks, Capt. Chris

Thank you for the timely response as the specs are due today.
Your FLSTFB looks great, the Black Denim really sets off the chrome I guess on that one I should say instead of keep the shiney side up "keep the flat black side up"
Regards

Capt, Is it possible to currently build a "Faisal" set?
I think the five options on both knives (Thorpe and large Toothpick) would go:
1. Forward curved brass Hilt 2. Brass scaloped collar 3. Flanged scalloped brass but cap 4. Brass name plate
5. This is the option I don't know about, as I don't want to use Elephant Ivory, could the shop use the new Ivorite on these large Bowie handles? If not what could be used that would most look like the original "King Faisal" set?
Thanks for all your help, Best regards

Brass forward curved double hilt is "not" a chargeable option. It does not count against the "5". Stag, especially if you supplied dressed stag would look dynamite! Alternate ivory is also an option you may want to pursue. The shop-supplied ivorite will get you there also. Hope this helps, Capt. Chris PS: Real ivory is the "bomb" though...CCS

I have also been told the ivorite is on the "small" side..."BUT"...(I know...I know)...I thought Holzinger (or someone within the past week) featured a Smitty with ivorite in a post?? Too many drugs in the 60's? Or did I really see that? Best, Capt. Chris
