I never contacted BMK about the color change. I never thought it was their issue. I had a M7 bayonet done as well by a fellow Michigander, it remains as it did 10 years ago when I had it done. BMK remains my go to for re-handled knives.

Eric,
I hope you didn't think I was accusing you of branding any blame on BMK. I was just saying that "I" don't blame them for the ones they made for "me". The "Blame" should fall on the seller who mis-represents the product.

Capt. Chris, I was just fixing my first post in case anyone thought I was disappointed. BMK works magic daily.

Grant emailed me yesterday and told me to send the knife BMK.

I will be sending it via FedEx today and hope that they will be able to bring some color back.

Amen Rocky,
I wish I'd have taken a "Before" photo of the brown piece I posted up earlier in this thread. It was more of a yellow like your 1st pick originally.
Thanks, Capt. Chris

Rocky

IMO the handle still looks great. Can you tell me where/how it was stored and are both sides similar in color now?

Rod,
It was stored in my "gun Locker" no sun, nothing but age....I do not know what it would have done if in the sun/lighted condition....and...yes the "now color" is not objectionable....
BUT...its not "yellow"
both sides are the same

:-)Rocky
