Gary,
You don't get out much, do ya? You really should have a glance at my website, now & then. Sold this a couple of weeks ago. Red & blue laminated micarta handle material has been used by the Randall shop for 15 years. Same upcharge as maroon micarta.
Best, Capt. Chris
PS: All red spacers, especially when used with red & blue micarta, is a good spacer alternative...and "NO ADDTIONAL CHARGE", saving another option.

If ya'll stay with brass & add a brass crows beak ya get a 22 handle shape for free, all red spacers like the Captain said, leaves ya'll with 2 more options.

Always love the shop's red & blue but what about some non-shop micarta or G 10 or something else that's a little out of the ordinary? Captain might have some ideas.

Change the handle from leather to micarta.
Change the brass hilt to nickel silver.
Leave the spacers red, white & blue.
Reasoning: micarta is more resistant to wet environments and less slippery than G10; nickel-silver tarnishes much less than brass; and red-white-blue is for the good old U S of A!

If you will recall, I purchased a red/blue Sergeant's model from you around Christmas time. And while it is true that I don't get out much anymore and that I was away from the Randall world for 4-5 years, in the years before that, I never knew that the shop had a red/blue micarta option. In fact, back around 2005, I provided a CW red/blue block of micarta for a knife and no one said a word to me.

You definitely do learn something new every day. Oh, one other thing, I visit your site at least once a week. I just missed getting that crown stag 12-9.

That Crown Stag was actually on the site for a SHOCKINGLY long amount of time Gary. Every time I had convinced myself to buy it, it was still there... and then finally ... gone.

Actually the 22 handle would be a great idea. I have one on my #8 and love it. Only thing is if we could make it brass with out using an option to match the brass hilt. I still think we need the thumb notches and wrist thing in case you are working over water, takes away the chance of dropping it into the deep blue sea.

I went on a cruise and I never saw it before I left. The day I returned, it was on the site. By the time that I made it home two days later....gone. I snoozed.
