OK Crew:
Back up a minute. #6 grinds are "not" available on:
* #3's, in any blade length
* #4's in any blade length, except a 6"
* Model #8's

Furthermore: #8 grinds are available on:
* Model #8's
* Model #23's
That's it. Let's build a nice knife but not get side-tracked by talking about knives we "cannot" build...please?
Thanks, Capt. Chris

Model #7 or Model #4 then with #6 grind appears to be the 2 best options

Have we ruled out the "piggy back" idea that Peter brought up?
I have a couple of the Model 10-5's with the Fishing Pliers.
I fish in Colorado for Trout and then in the Florida Keys for Snapper, Grouper, etc.
I think a combination might be something that could be carried for multiple sizes of fish.

I don't think it's ruled out, "BUT" I believe Capt's. point is to build 1 knife with fishing in mind but could pull double duty if needed. Not to get to complicated or over loaded, just to build the one really cool knife.

Bluegills or 25 lb Steelhead? Depends on what you are fishing for. How about a #9-8? That has a #6 grind and would do quite nicely. If we are talking a small fishing knife then I'm for a #7-5 with a #6 grind.

Like Terry Bradshaw said once,"Back where I come from, they call that bait!". Reference Bluegills vs a 20 lb. grouper or Redfish. Like Chief said, the first order of business is to vote for a big fish or a little fish knife, then we can move forward.
