Hi, I have a question on the steel used.
I have always thought that Randall was using 01 or 420/440c.
But in this video: "https://youtu.be/a-SSIutnzd0", the guy is talking about 154cm (at 01:04). What about this? Is it true? Is it possible to ask for that steel? Thanks in advance for the replies.

I'm checking on it..."but"...the guy also says that all of his "facts" have been checked out at the Randall shop or catalog..."&"....the hardwood available on the Model #10's is "walnut". Wrong answer! The hardwood available on the Model #10's is "rosewood"!
The shop may very well be using 154 on their stock removal blades, which the #10 is, but 440-B is the stainless used on their forged stainless knives...
to be continued...
Capt. Chris

OK everyone,
Thanks to Scott I have received the definitive answer. Quite recently, i.e.: 2015 or 16, the shop has made the switch to 154 CM om "model #10's...only"! The reason for this change is due to the fact that the shop was receiving some stainless steel stock which had inclusions that required more effort than it should have to clean up.
The #10's, in all blade lengths are the only Randall model, at this time, being offered in 154 CM. The "other" statements made by the You-Tube guy, regardless of where or how he claims to have received his facts are incorrect. 2 examples below:
* #28's are forged
* Rosewood is the wooden scales used on the #10's..."not" walnut".
Hope this helps, Capt. Chris
PS: Thanks Scott & Jason

Hope this helps, Capt. Chris

Hi Capt.,

Any chance the shop would make up a 10-5 and a 10-7 with the drop point style blade of my 10-3?

I have had a couple of "specials", back in the day but not today.
Sorry, Capt. Chris

I do not know if I should write here or write in another section?
I'm interested in high ride sheath for fireman or 11-3.25,
but with pocket for stone, as Ruana sheath, which I noticed
on the Internet.
How do I contact Mr. Sullivan via e-mail?

You could start by sending Stickman (Danny) a PM. Use the search feature to find "Stickman".
