IMO, anything with 1/4" profile (blade width) should be removed for consideration as well.

1/4" is nice for many things, but carving on a fish ain't one of them.

Per the earlier comment that 8" might be a bit much, that ejects the 9" non-catalog "Filet Knife" from the list, too.

The 5" model 10 would be *real* nice with the thin 1/8" blade stock. Probably not too many options available for that knife, though.

I agree with RamKingJC, the #7 with the #6 grind would be a great build for a fisherman knife.

They don't make a #3-4" Eric. I know there were a couple, "BUT"...(Yuck!)...not anymore. This build had to be something readily available from Randall's blade list.
Thanks, Capt. Chris
PS: #4-6", with the #6 grind...

How about a combo build in a piggy back sheath

Model 7 with a model 6 grind and a model 6 9"
That way you are set for small and big fish, matching hilts and handles Woo Hoo

Model #4 “small game & skinner” (3/16 stock, 4-1/2” blade), with Model #6 grind, SS blade, and orange micarta handle (if Captain’s stash has that material.

Second choice: Model #8, 4” blade.

Well, since you didn't rule out the Tailor's knife........

I cast my vote for the #7-5", #6 grind. I would also love to see a #8x-4" but wonder if the blade would be long enough.

I like the 4-6 with #6 grind too. The grind on that looks like it would like through fish like butter. Holding my thoughts on handle material until we decide on model.

Since I already have an active order with Capt.(due in July)
RMK #4-6" \ #6 grind \ NS(squared) \ Capt. Stash Bone Linen w/FG (#14) and WT

So I vote for a Model 7 with a #6 grind
