Sorry I haven't posted in a while. We moved Lucille to our log home on February 22. Since our bedroom is on the 3rd floor, I rearranged the living room to accommodate a hospital bed. Of course she was excited to be home since it was last June when we left for her bypass.I have most of the daily and nightly duties. We do have home health come in a few hours a week, but mainly it's just me. Some days this is a real chore. She still can not talk or walk, so I must keep up with her tube feeding, water intake, meds and personal cleaning. For those that have never done this, it is definitely a full time job. My magazine pile is getting deeper since I don't have a lot of time to read them any more. One positive thing is I get to tell her all of my boring stories or gripe about politics and she endures. It's so nice to be home with our own stuff. We still have almost 3 feet of snow on the level but slowly melting. This time last year there were 200 elk grazing on us, but not yet this year. Maybe a month away for green grass.

As always, Lucille and I appreciate your continued prayers and hope we can eventually overcome and hit the road again. God bless.

Pap

Have sure wondered about y'all Pap since your last "report" of taking Lucille home, and have said and will continue to ask our God daily to bless you both and your home. HIS blessings to you both, my friend.

Thank you so much for the update Pappy!!!
We are really happy she is home with you. You will find a routine of some kind that will make it "easier" but it will never be easy. You are an amazing man though for stepping up and taking such good care of her.
Continued prayers for her strength and yours Pappy!

Well, it's a daunting task being a full time care taker but I truly don't mind. It's been just over 2 months since I brought her home. I rearranged the living room for her hospital bed and I sleep next to her on the couch. Our master bedroom is upstairs but I feel better being closer to her on the couch. Her condition hasn't changed much but we are using an alphabet board to communicate since she still can't talk. My daughter comes and gives me a hand and a lady from church comes when I need to go to Boise for a supply run. Not a day goes by that I don't break down but I try not to in front of Lucille as it makes her sad too. Praying for her to speak. Appreciate your prayers and support.

Sending you prayers for strength. God Bless you both.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
