Answers:

Model #16's: No red / blue micarta as it is not "slotted". Green or Black micarta, unless customer-supplied handle material (already slotted and "EXACT" in size) is furnished.

Aircrewman knife. No: It cannot be ordered as it is pictured, i.e. old style Model #5 blade with "teeth". You "can" order sawteeth on a Model #5..."BUT"...(There's that word again)...6,7 or 8" blades only. Any 5" Model #5 ordered with sawteeth will receive a "Combat Companion" blade grind.

I was wondering if you can get the standard style handle on a full tang type knife? Specifically the new Combat Companion. I have never seen one.

No you cannot. I have received black micarta handles in the past that had no finger grips, just a slight flared in front and back but straight in the center where the fg's would normally be cut out. That option is no more.

Thats what I figured. I am going to try and find a #14 with finger grooves and reshape the handle to a standard type.

I need to choose the 5 options for a diver Combat Companion, my question is:
ordering a brass double hilt with two flared holes (#18 style) count for one option, or is like ordering a #14 style double hilt(the hilt of the standard full tang model with finger grips) and the two holes drilled for a total of two options?
These would be my five options:
1 - Stainless Steel.
2 - Sawteeth.
3 - #18 Style Brass Double Hilt With Flared Holes.
4 - #14 Finger Grips Handle Shape.
5 - Orange G10 Handle Material.
And of course a model C waxed sheath.

The Combat Companion above is doable, just as described. It will be a CDT version as the newer "FT" (full tang) does not allow for CW (orange G-10) or any other handle shape, except border patrol.

Model #7's (#6) can be orderd with a squared top hilt (no additional charge) and thumb notches (chargeable option).
