Hi Guys

The update on Lucille is somewhat positive. She isn't back to where she was 2 months ago, but there is progress. I increased her feeding per the doctor to about 1700 calories per day and she is gaining weight. Her swallowing has greatly improved. She is my hero and a real trooper. Good news, Pap. we're pulling for youboth all the way.

So it's been a while since I updated Lucille's situation. She had a real breakthrough 2 weeks ago, when she was able to make her voice box work on command. Before, the only time she could make a noise, was when she was coughing. Now, she is making sounds and phrases when she wants to. For sure, these sounds aren't totally clear, but her progress is nothing short of a miracle. Her speech therapist was very emotional and said she had never seen anyone with such a massive stroke, able to come back to making their vocal cords work.

Again, I want to thank all of you that have been praying for Lucille and know that your prayers are being answered. My eyes spew out tears just hearing her try and say words and phrases. God bless!!
