Rick,
No, the 45 Auto's seat on the case mouth so I can use the ejector rod, the cylinder is also rebated for 45 AR rims so that I can shoot them in it too.

Hey Guys,

Some really great looking #2s on this thread. Especially Boblades 1943 beauty.

My #2 question is: Does anyone have a wide bladed #2? How common were they? Hunt's book has one.

Cheers,

Alan

Not many wide blade stillettos were made.

I'll throw one more up there. Try and guess the lengths of these two. The top knife is a mid 40's and the bottom is mid/late 60's. I know sheaths would help, but give it a shot.

Hey Crutch, Actually never have seen them before. I have been looking at a lot of # 2's lately since I got my first one a couple of weeks ago and after fondling my new # 2, 7" I just reacted and thought yours was a 7" model and from there the larger one looked like 11". I love the big one. That is some blade.

Crutch,
Just going by the handle, I guess 6" and 9". Is that close?

Tom got it right, a 2-7 and a 2-11 1/8". Interesting stories accompany both knives.

The 2-7 was carried by a paratrooper with the 3rd of the 506th 101st ABN "Shock Force" in Viet Nam. Comes in a riveted sheath.

The 2-11 is name etched as well as logo stamped on both sides of the blade. It was carried by a decorated man that retired as a Lt. Colonel after enlisting June 2, 1942 and retiring Dec 31, 1965. Served in the European African-Middle Eastern Campaign during WWII.
