The shop doesn't do tipped handle material anymore. Don't know when that policy started "but" no more. So what you see is what you got and you can't make it any longer.

Don't know Eric. I did speak with Valerie at Blade this year about this subject and she confirmed no more tipped handle material. Leave it at that.

No tips are why you see fossil handles going from small to large.
Tip gets cut off the tusk at the size the shop lists for CW.
Why so many knives have a big dia. at the butt.

GTR stopped installing tips because of "one customer"! The guy kept sending in ivory tip-ends that were too small for the knives he wanted made. The shop finally received a tip that was close in size and made one of the knives he wanted. Upon receipt, the customer complained that the tip wasn't "right" and accused the shop of "switching" his ivory with another piece!
That was it! ...about 15 years ago! Hope this helps.
