Purchased in 1950 is a 2-7 named and documented to a Korean and Viet Nam war vet. From the original owner. One of the very early ones when I started to really get into documented knives. Note the blued blade.

Good story on this one posted on the website:

Carried by a chopper pilot in Viet Nam. Said it was in his flight suit leg pocket, but it looks like it sat back at the base in his duffle bag.

By the way, the model 2 is very similar to a dagger of Tutankhamen.
Especially the one of stainless meteoric iron (10% Ni, 0.6% Co).

We can it even repeat in miniature (original 13" blade):
stainless, reduced hilt, 8 inch blade, concave handle,
smooth collar and gold G10 smile

or G11 / FR5 Glass-Cloth Reinforced Epoxy

Quote:
FR5 Glass-Cloth Reinforced Epoxy
NEMA grades G11 and FR5 Glass-Cloth Reinforced Epoxy - natural color is typically yellow green to amber. This grade is similar to G10/FR4 but has a higher operating temperature and superior mechanical properties at elevated temperatures. The main difference between NEMA Grades G11 and FR5 is that FR5 is a fire retardant grade of G11.
