It might never be needed, but the extra strength might come in handy.
But...then I could also go with the 15 CDT, since that offers opportunities for a lot of appealing handle materials, butt caps, even though the WT would then be one of our five options instead of being included as it is on the Full Tang....

I had a Model one with a double hilt and 6" blade. It was great in camp. I think the Model 1 with a single hilt are nice looking. I vote Model 1

I am of the impression that a model one and model 5 blade are exactly the same, except for the forefinger dip for a fighting hold on the model 1, not on the top of camping chores. It makes me wonder, why order a single hilt one?

Not much difference in ordering a single hilt model #1 and adding thumb notches (Yes: doable) or a Model #5 and adding TB (Top bevel sharpened: Yes, doable)...except the Model #1 looks way cooler! Best, Capt. Chris
