I like Pappy's design, however, drop the thumb notches and go border patrol in lieu of the finger grips.

OK, brass squared hilt, goes better with all red spacers anyway.

So...."many" prefer SS, micarta, thumb notches, NS; my own preference is RHFG or no FG and a "Camper's Companion" shouldn't need a compass (not fish'n, hunt'n or hikin'). Perhaps we build a....
- 15-5 1/2" CDT
-SS Blade
-NS squared off Hilt
-Thumb Notches
-??? Micarta BP Handle
-All red spacers
-Black, No Hone Sheath
-OR......something else. The possibilities are endless & oh boy! Ain't that a good thing??
Thanks for another great Build, Cap.

I would say a leather handle, doesn't use up and option. Maybe a model 22 handle, kind of a "border patrol" handle, with a brass crowsbeak, black and brass spacers, and a wrist thong.

I have enjoyed everyone's input and ideas. A lot of good ones but we need to start thinning the herd. It is time for a
ROLL CALL VOTE"! We are building a #15, CDT. Earlier the vote was for a stainless steel blade. Since then, after seeing the limitations on the shop's 5 option limit, some have shown preference for carbon still.
Vote for one and let's move on. We will address the rest afterwards.
A) Stainless
B) Carbon

Thanks for all the ideas!
Capt. Chris
PS: No Behring re-handle on shop's builds. That's a separate project...CCS
