Pictures like this are why "Foruming and Driving" may be a bad idea... damn near ran off the road onto a golf course...

We miss you, Kevin, and thanks for these memories when friendly folk and banter ruled.

Seeing this reminds me of a lot of great times talking about knives with him & a few that we talked about are in that picture.
Thanks

Wow, I'm speechless. Unreal to see that many 19's at once.

This was a public service from a friend of his from Rhett days who wished this to be posted for him. I was only the medium. But am sure his friend has seen this, which will be thanks enough for him.

I was telling Kevin that I would be over on his lake ice fishing one evening and asked if he was up for a visit. He walked out and we talked for about an hour while trying to catch some walleye. He was about to head back to his house when he turned around and handed me a package, with orders not to open until I was home. It was my first Randall. I sure miss my talks with the big ox. Before he died he wanted me to have this 19 in my collection so I picked it up from his wife. It's still one of my favorite Randalls and always brings back good memories.

That is the one which always caught my eye. And still does. The internet lives forever, even if some static archive somewhere. So will the knife and the story behind it. And a paper link to that internet story will complete the circle, almost like having an old magazine article featuring a knife going along with the knife. Thank you for letting us know. Seriously. And about the fate of that knife in particular.

For the record

The 6 knives on the left of the photo came from Tom Clintons collection.
Gary Clinton was kind enough to sell them to Kevin and I.
Of course Kevin wanted them to all be together & so that's how those 6 got there.

The 2nd one from the bottom on the far right side I got done for him by Jim & James at Treeman.
This was brought about due to a 27 that I had done the same way that he liked.

Most of the middle ones he ordered, he was particular about having straight handles on the stag.
The top middle being the 1 exception as he liked how it felt in his hand.

Those are the only ones that I know the particulars on.
maybe Warren, Big Jim, Tom the Bomb, Doug, Graham or Kent, to name a few could add more on some of the others.

Chief pretty much nailed it however I will add that the nearly all the stag was dealer supplied and not shop stag. Your favorite red handle 7 spacer Randy made a visit here for a while. I'm glad it found a good home where it's appreciated.

I'll further add there were additional knives that never made that group shot for whatever reason and probably came later.
