Marty,

If you're going to use your phone to take photos, put a clamp, like the Gorillapod to hold it steady and use the self-timer to keep the photo sharp.

See my thread here in the Picture Gallery on "How To Improve Your Photos".

See "Ausblade"s post at the bottom of page 2 of my thread.

The reason your photos are a little underexposed is the flash from your "camera" bounced off the shiny wood background and "turned down" the exposure.

Here's a few more:
Try not to shoot with the flash mode on,
you don’t want to wash out details in the subject.

Try not to use a shiny surface as your background.

Shoot outside on an overcast day for best detail.

A tripod will help steady the camera.

… and "film" is cheap.

Look at Tony's outdoor shot in the sand below. Looks professional!

Hope this helps.

Buck

A pair of desert ironwood-mounted "camp knives".

On left, Model 23-4-1/2", stainless steel, nickel-silver hilt, shop-supplied desert ironwood, Model 22 handle & Crow's Beak Butt Cap. If you order the crow's beak butt cap, the handle-shape will be the Model 22 design; one follows the other.

One the right, "Sergeant's Model - 5" blade, stainless steel, special order (not from Shop) desert ironwood, nickel-silver butt cap, wrist thong.

The Model 23 is my favorite sporting model.

Thanks Buck for the help. I will try to shoot a few to practice when I get some time. Those pointers are appreciated.
Bill, it has black and white spacers in addition to the unusual handle and blade finish. Much smoother than normal. May not be, but that was been the opinion of most. I have a 2-5 like it, pinned butt and black and white, also smoother finish. 2-4 has pancake sheath also.

Here's a pair of lugged hilt #15's...45 years apart in build! They are rare! I have only ever seen these 2!
Stay sharp, Capt. Chris
