Hey Warren,

That is his Gil's wife next to him in the photo. I probably spent more time talking to her than Gil. I know nothing can beat The Blade Show in Atlanta but I found the Knifemakers Guild Show to be a bit more intimate but then it is only a fraction of the size of Blade.

Ricardo Romano!

I learned about him a few months ago and saw a lot of pictures of his work. According to many collectors and other top knife makers, he is on of the best stock removal knife makers. I am no expert, but I can tell when a knife looks beautiful and well finished and his does. He comes from Brasil and is a very nice guy. He makes folders and fixed blades. I ordered a Smithsonian from him. He made one before and I saw the picture and was sold. Mine will be with ironwood, Stainless Steel Hilt, Butt cap and Stainless Spacers.

The waiting list is 3 years and at the moment he makes a lot of slip-joints.
He also made other Randall and Bob loveless knives in the past.
He loves Randall Knives and visited the museum 5 times!

Here is a link to a Smithsonian he made: http://www.cutelariaartesanal.com.br/forum/index.php?topic=12737.0

Here are some of the other knives he made: http://s62.photobucket.com/user/cutromano/story

I have (2) knives from Ricardo. Workmanship is top notch, to say the least. He used to post quite frequently on this forum. This is Ricardo's picture, but this is the 2nd knife he made for me. Met he and his wife / girlfriend at the Blade Show the year I received this knife.

Beautiful knife! I didn't knew he posted here. I am glad I found him. With the 3 year waiting time, I have all the time to save some money for the knife.

Ricardo's work is awesome. I'll add one.

Tim Withers Linden, Ca

Tim is really an up and comer. He is a full time plumbing contractor, and makes knives part time. I wish I could figure out how to get a photo on here. It always states that I'm over
200 KB. I'm old and not very computer savvy. Tim just made me a Chute Knife with Interior Mammoth scales. Ron Skaggs is working on the project, long with Stan Hawkins.

Can someone give me a hint on posting photos on here?
