The knife is a Model 5-5" "Navy/Marine Aircrew Survival" with JRB sheath. Sheath stamped "5 5".
SS blade, sawteeth, double hilt, black micarta, commando handle, rounded brass buttcap, thong hole.

Welcome to the Forums. It is my opinion that Model 5's dressed like yours are a bit rare in North America as well.

I have a couple, one with black micarta and one with yellow micarta. They rank up there as my favorites as well. Although I will probably never use the sawteeth, I do like the look of small sawteeth.

I called the shop to see what they had on the bench around 1987 or 88, my son and I got matching 14's, while I was on the phone I got a 5-4 for a buddy going on a sheep hunt in British Columbia.

I was so envious of his knife, a perfect small hunter. I wanted one for years but never got around to ordering one.
