OK, Crew:
I'm back from Bama, getting ready to go down to the shop and pick up my knife order, starting re-packing this afternoon, going to the optician to see if "yet, another" pair (pairs) of glasses is going to allow me to see, complete loading for the show, leaving tomorrow to set up the Orlando show & attending that show through Sunday!
Other than that, I don't have a damned thing to do! I think we need to -re-boot and get the option list started for build decisions on this #15, CDT. Just to refresh: We are building:
* RMK Model #15-5 1/2", Airman
* CDT (cut down tang)
* Carbon steel blade
* Single hilt
* Top edge is sharp
* 5 1/2" blade length
* 1/4" blade thickness
All of the above is @ "no charge", albeit the single hilt is an option. What we need to do is decide how we want to make this our own. I welcome all input and ideas!
So: What think you?
Best, Capt. Chris

THUMB NOTCHES - a must have for this kind of field knife

brass hilt, (SINGLE already designated) - brass saves more options, and though I like NS better, I feel like we need the option space.

MATCHING SPACERS - whatever looks good with the handle material. Brass/Black and Brass/Red looks great with wood and micarta. Worth the option slot imo.

HANDLE MATERIAL - Not too picky, as long as it matches. Wood/Micarta

HANDLE SHAPE - Again, not too picky, though I prefer SFG or Border Patrol.

I really wish I could figure out what to give up to get a wrist thong, which is also great for a field knife. If solid black spacers worked with the other choices, that could make the thong possible.

My humble 2 cents.

Jay

Jay,
You only have "4" chargeable options listed. You still have room for your wrist thong. Quit selling yourself short!
Best, Capt. Chris
* TN- Option #1
* Brass spacers- Option #2
* Handle material- Option #3
* Handle shape- Option #4
