I do like something out or the "norm"... That's why I suggested the #1-6" with a single hilt.

If not that than a Sportsmans bowie. We get more cutting surface and it's made from bowie stock.

Also something a bit away from what we normally build here.

How about a Model 5-6" with sawteeth or a Model 19 with a stag handle and butt plate?

I'd be down with a Sportsman's Bowie.

IMO it sounds neater than the #5-double hilt or #1-single hilt.

Sportsmans Bowie, while a cool knife, is too dangerous for "Camp Chores". No choil and sharpened all the way to the hilt ain't a good combination, 'cept to stick folks with!
Just my 2 cents worth, Capt. Chris

I think Models 3, 4, or 5 would be suitable as camp knives. The question then would become just how much belly the groups thinks the knife should have, and that might depend on how much slicing in the kitchen is expected versus general camp chores where you might not want too much belly.

I posted the first knife the other day. I'm also posting a second both of which could handle large camp chores. Why not?

I think 1-6 would do the job no worse than 5-6.
Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the recess
on the back on #1 - upper choil?

slightly changed the photo

Warren,
Jousting with windmills, me thinks you are. Good try though buddy!
Larry: Like Warren's dream, I think the #4 would prove too chore-specific to get the nod. Model #3 or #5? I totally agree.
Peter: Nice choice on the #15 with a single hilt.
Snake: As previously discussed, a #1, single hilt, would be a great choice!
Gee: This ain't gonna' be easy!
Keep it coming, Capt. Chris
