Yes, the 19 does have the 14 finger grips, good observation. I mentioned that on the other post with just the 19 as the subject. I tried to do a search on Knife of the week Model 19 but got 1000 entries.

That 19 is just awesome, 1 of my favorite models.
Does the finger grips that way make the handle more like slab sides?

Yes with the deeper finger grips and the heaviness of the 5" 19, it is really comfortable.
