N/S is far easier to keep than brass especially for what this knife is intended as a kitchen and fishing knife. I get the idea of the looks and option. Just my opinion.
I use mine for field dressing and skinning Whitetail deer. The hilt brass or N/S both clean up with hot water and soap. I would like to save a option. My 2 cents worth.

I don't have a problem either way, as long as we have the thumb notches and squared hilt. Let majority make the final decision.

- brass hilt to save an option, rounded is much more thumb friendly - "trade mark" rwb spacer - teardrop handle shape if possible, standard if not. It's a knife with rather "straight" lines - thumb notches - thong hole
