Lucille update Dec.2
It's been a while since I have given an update, but things remained about the same for a few weeks. Notably she received Botox shots in both feet to try and relax the posturing in them. In addition, we moved her to a different facility that had a better physical therapy and speech therapy department. Both of those changes seem to have helped give her encouragement to try harder. She still can not walk or talk, but remains very alert and understands everything that is said. Her upper body and arms are very mobile but can not write with any consistency. Please pray for her speaking and swallowing plus other health issues. We may get to move her to a very exclusive rehab facility in the next week or so and that would be a real blessing. Thanks always for your continued support and prayers. God is great.

So it's been awhile since I have given an update for Lucille and since the Lord's Birthday is near, I do have some news. Lucille was moved to the St. Luke's Elk's Rehab center over a week ago. We have been praying for this since August as this is the premier rehab facility in the Pacific Northwest. Almost at once Lucille responded to the new therapist and improved in every function. Both physically and mentally. She is obviously enthused and trying to do better in all her therapies. Today she said "Hi Pap" to me and when her brother Dennis came into the room, she said, "Hi Den-nis" in 2 syllables, but you could see her excitement that she talked. We are truly Praising The Lord for this Christmas present. Again, we know that so many of you faithful prayer partners are keeping Lucille on your daily prayer list. Your prayers are heard by our Lord and Savior, so please keep them up. May God bless you and your family. Truly a Merry Christmas for us Allen's.
