We were scheduled to leave at the crack of dawn this past Sunday to try for some red snapper. Unfortunately, the weather gods were not cooperating and we had squall lines moving through the area. Eventually, the storms moved out and we were able to leave the dock about 4 pm. So, we weren't able to go out as far and were only able to fish for about two hours. We caught a nice mess of snapper and had a good time but did not catch the 20+ pound fish we were looking for. Guess I'll just have to give it another try sometime soon. :-) By the way, that's not me in the picture, it's a friend of mine who was nice enough to take us out with him.

I hope Ford does better with the Bronco than Toyota did with the FJ......

Those snappers are the perfect eating size. Wish I had a couple of them.

I owned a 2008 FJ, had a 1985 FJ and a 1977 Bobtail Bronco. By "far" the 2008 FJ was the best by huge leaps and bounds. 20 m.p.g., go anywhere and never...never needed a thing. I'm shocked Tune! How could you not like it. (The blind spots were a bitch, that much is true)!
Best, Capt. Chris

Cap, no doubt, it was a Toyota and well made. I am driving a 2004 100 Land Crusier now. I can't say enough good....... BUT (that word?).

I thought the FJ Cruiser was fugley and it had it's issues. I rented a couple and found the blindspots bad and seating/cargo was so so.

Hey, there's a seat for every ass!

I have a 2011 FJ Trail Teams edition. "from my cold, dead hands" or so the saying goes. I love it don't think I'll ever part with it.

The FJ's from the 1970's were the best. I had a 65 Land Rover while in college. Too many things went bad on that rig. When I was graduating, I traded for my first 4 Wheel drive Chevy pickup in 68. Been driving 4 Wheel drive pickup trucks ever since. Ford's for a long time.
