Capt. Chris--

I believe that for any of the exposed tang knives the shop requires Micarta or G-10. I recall Gary telling me once that they will not do stabilized wood, etc., on those models. Makes sense from a durability point of view.

My Choices:
A) Model 23 (I don't recall one being done in a build before)
B) Model 7-5"
C) Model 1 (after all, it was bred for this and has a record of success)

My thinking on the 16 or 16/SP1 for the fighter is that you get stainless without using up an option. But .... are there option limits for those models that might be a problem? Like no CW?
