Rod, I would guess that is the case. What would be the point?
As an aside, here is an odd duck, and I presume it was counted as an option. Who the heck would order a model 1 like this? Not the most comfortable using the finger relief for edge up method. Looks like SJ went right from the notches to the teeth or vice versa, and didn't miss a beat. Late 60's piece.

Rod, Any knife with thumb notches (as standard) will not receive them when ordered with a double hilt. Hope this helps, Capt. Chris PS: Newer #5's without thumb notches and equipped with a single hilt would have: A) Either been special ordered that way ..................Or............... B) They were missed by the shop CCS
Yes sir, T/N are not neccesary for double hilts and are deleted automatically just as they are added on the 14's and 15 CDT's single hilts at no charge...
