Dorsky is ok? Are you kidding me! Of course he's ok. What hurricane would ever want to deal with Dorsky! Joe would just savage a hurricane!

The last I heard the death toll from Irma is 9. From what at one point was a cat 5 hitting the state dead on that is the best of the bad news you can get. You Floridians are a tough bunch! Hang in there.

So glad all our Fl. friends are doing well.
Can't imagine what y'all went through last night.
Its truly staggering the damage the wind can do.
The edge of the much much weaker storm is moving into Ky now.

Glad to hear all are safe and that the storm was not as bad as feared. As strong as wind is, there is no force greater than water. The surge was half of what was predicted and that is the best news for all!

Update,
Texted Scott this AM. RMK is shut down. Many "external problems" and no power...and now: The generator is out! Scott said it looks like "ground zero"!
As for me: New developments this morning as a fresh, wet, brand new water stain has appeared inside the house, underneath what is (or was) a brand new roof, installed a few months ago, after "Hermine" took the old one out!!
(UGH)...
Later, Capt. Chris

Pap,

Earlier in this thread I said I would have an axe nearby. You might need to bust your way out.
