Pappy,
Yep,those Brown Recluse Spiders have a potent venom. Seems that the wound will never heal.

News report from around Miami three or four years ago.

A 40-ish year old man was helping his father tear down a shed.

He got a brown recluse bite on the back of his neck.

Died from the necrosis of the tissue affected by the venom...I assume getting into the spinal column or whatever.

Larry,
I would say that they are nasty.

Shame you can't use a Bond Arms in 410 to get them!!!!

Of all the calibers that the Bond Derringer is offered in,I would say that the 410/45LC either 2.5 or 3 inch is the most popular.

I usually pack mine all of the time but when the temps are close to 100 degrees,it is the nAA mini that is slipped into my pocket.

Would be curious to hear opinions on the Bond Arms, trigger guard vs no guard. What made your decisions on which way to go? I'm up in the air, only hold back I've got with the gun. Thanks in advance..

Trigger guard makes me feel like I have a more secure grip.

3” magnum .410 in #4 shot make you know that something is there!

Coach & Pappy,
I too agree with that. Touch off a 3 inch magnum and you know that the bull really did it in the buckwheat.

I removed (temporarily) the guard from my Texas Defender and it just did not seem right. So I put it back on.

Do the math on that 3 inch load. 300+ grains of shot out at about 1,000 fps.
