Jim,
I just put them in, sometimes it' just a day, or tow, other times it's longer....just a matter of when I find the time to get them out....In fact, Think I'll go, get them out right now.

BTTT. After a record warm October, November seems more like December right now. Temps the last few days 20's in the morning and we had a dusting of snow overnight.
Humidity is going down here so once again important to condition your knives if you live north. I just a wet hand of mineral oil and swath them all. Vaporizers and humidity pots work well in the dead of winter.

I have a set of bone grips on a pistol and I rub mineral oil on the back side of them periodically. Front seems to be sealed with something- maybe just polish compound? Do you think that is good? I was told that it should put the grips in a boiler of oil and heat it slightly to help penetrate into the bone. I felt that was a bit far-fetched.

Not sure about the heat, might ruin them. Mineral oil is all you need.
