Temps the last few days 20's in the morning and we had a dusting of snow overnight. Humidity is going down here so once again important to condition your knives if you live north. I just a wet hand of mineral oil and swath them all. Vaporizers and humidity pots work well in the dead of winter. _________________________ Warren

Shoot870p Knife Enthusiast Registered: 01/12/17 Posts: 1521	Warren I have a set of bone grips on a pistol and I rub mineral oil on the back side of them periodically. Front seems to be sealed with something- maybe just polish compound? Do you think that is good? I was told that it should put the grips in a boiler of oil and heat it slightly to help penetrate into the bone. I felt that was a bit far-fetched. _________________________ Shoot870p
