It is a Level 3 Serpa Warren. The lock/release on these are great - positive, fast and smooth but you probably already know that from your leg rig. Have used Blackhawk gear since back when I was on active duty and have never had an issue with any of their kit.
I didn't start off as a big .40 fan but after I got the Dillon set up for it and shot a few buckets of rounds I like it well enough. 45 acp still my favorite though..

Dwight,

Mine is level 2 but I do really the security of Blackhawk holsters. My leg rig is just fine at level 2 unless the big black bear in the neighborhood is going to try something, LOL

Warren,
Instead of a handgun for the Big Black Bear, may I suggest a 12 ga pump loaded with alternate buck and ball loads.

Reminds me of the time a hunter told his guide he was going to hent bear with his 44 mag revolver.

The guide suggested that he file the front sight off. This way it would not hurt so much when the bear shoves it up his butt!!

Getting back to the holster thing. Blackhawk holsters are great. Well made and priced right.

Wayne

I have this Blackhawk, but it seems to me that it could be hard on the finish of the gun.
