Just took delivery of my 5-6, (carbon, with reduced hilt, micarta BP handle) and what an awesome piece of knife it is.

Just some advice for a user, I'm not taking part in the build.

Bigger is better if you are going to sit and look at it. Not if you are actually going to use it.

D....& 8" is better if only going to look at it....BUT......(sorry Cap) it's also better if you actually get used to using, carrying 8" of blade....the right sheathes make it possible/comfortable anywhere. You can always use less of the Blade....can't grow more.
Thanks for another Build.

Of all the Randall models, the Model 5 is my all time favorite. Sure, I have others that I do love for one reason or another, but the Model 5 will always be my favorite. I do love the Bradford Angier set up and the one I have used the MOST, a 5-5" version. That said , my current Model 5-6" is a carbon blade, standard thumb notches, NS squared hilt, red spacers, bone handle, finger grips, wrist thong and compass. It can take on any project.

Good morning..I just got off the phone with Capt.
The 8 inch is leading .Capt said he wanted to let the voting run
through the weekend. When he gets back home from deer camp we'll
decide on the blade material.Have a great weekend and if you haven't voted.DO IT.
