D) Model #5 built as a combination: Carry & camp chores Not a big fan of saw teeth "but" that middle knife of yours Billy is outstanding. Guess I"m not to old to improve on my opinion.

You could do a Brad 6" with a brass squared hilt and add the sawteeth. Works for me.

I think, better 8, it's better chops. Work on wood, such as working with snares and the like, it's more like a hunter. Maybe I'm not entirely right, but I recently made a knife with a 23 cm blade for myself, this quite normal size.

I have a 5-8 that I really like but, for me, I think it would be a little too large even as a camp knife. I pulled out a 5-6 last night to check it out and it seems to me to be plenty long enough for camp but not too long to carry. It has a walnut handle, finger grips and squared hilt and feels very good in the hand.
So, I guess that means a vote for "D".

I don't know the exact configuration Rick but I am sure it was a 6 inch blade. Several friends of mine, in Ocala, were friends with Ross and knew him from The Springs. All claim the knife was a 6 inch Model #5. They could be wrong but probably not. Best, Capt. Chris
