Here's one I picked up at a local knife show a while back.

Not sure why only one pic shows, first time I've tried to post a pic. Truth be told, this is my first attempt at taking a picture worthy of sharing here blush

Thanks guys for postings your 5's. As far as I am concerned you could post 5's all day long.

As promised, here is the 5-5 I just received as well. Totally loved the grind lines and old spacers and the fact it is not perfectly straight from handle to blade. A slight downward curve really aids in cutting. Also loved the fact the blade was dead mint and the handle had taken on a nice patina. Now the blade is hair poppin' sharp and ready to go out on adventures.

I've had six of these and this one I believe is the keeper. A thicker blade than others, squared hilt that I'll actually keep square, and just feels the best in my hand. I'll take a picture of my current 5-5 with black Micarta handle and show the difference in thickness.

Thought I'd throw in a picture of it with my two favorite folders. Both have bank vault lock-up with absolutely no play. The black on is polished water buffalo horn and S30V steel.

I'm not really into stag but this one is very appealing to me. Very nice knife

Thanks for the compliment! With a bit more practice, I think my photos might be worthy of their subjects.

I've never been a big fan of stag either, at least not on users. This one just felt right when I picked it up.... so I took it with me!

Just picked up this leather handled 5-5 with sawteeth.

Took a pic to compare an other 5-5 with sawteeth. Quite a difference where the sawteeth start and finish in the two knives.

After looking at the pictures, I am not sure the top knife has a Model 5 grind. The top bevel starts a lot further forward than most 5's!! Any thoughts???

difference is the location of the RMK stamp which affects the grind/teeth. At least it does on these two examples.

Looks like Crutch is correct...you can really see why we substitute the Combat Companion blades when a 5-5 s/t is requested...
