Work on wood, such as working with snares and the like, it's more like a hunter. I pulled out a 5-6 last night to check it out and it seems to me to be plenty long enough for camp but not too long to carry. It has a walnut handle, finger grips and squared hilt and feels very good in the hand. Several friends of mine, in Ocala, were friends with Ross and knew him from The Springs. All claim the knife was a 6 inch Model #5. They could be wrong but probably not. Best, Capt.
